New and Exciting Skills!

I don't know if I posted about it, but Dublin pulled herself up independently on the weekend.

She learned to sit herself up from a kneeling position and from all fours yesterday! (And she already realizes she can do it in the crib---we found her sitting up yesterday and today...time to lower the mattress.)

 And today....she crawled 3 "steps" forward!!! Yay!

Celebrating her Irish Roots

She slept until dinnertime. Sweet Irish baby.

First Family Vacation? Kind of?

We went to Houston. For a conference. At least we stayed in a hotel and spent some time together...it might count as a vacation--or at least a weekend away...Dublin did great in the car. She slept a lot both ways with the help of sleep sheep.

Here she is when we arrived at the hotel. We survived a room change and a finicky fridge. We all slept great and ate just okay.

She had fun hanging out with Daddy during the conference.

Dublin is Eight Months Old!!!

Eight months and oh so curious! She is exploring and doing so much!

She is standing holding onto things. She also pulls herself up if she is holding onto our hands.

She is scooting herself around--usually backward or in circles. She is beginning to position herself up on her knees from a sitting position.

She loves splashing in the bath, exploring cause & effect, peek-a-boo, a hiding game, Sterling, jumping in her jump-a-roo, the Backyardigan's theme song, and having both Mama & Daddy in the room with her. 

Love is in the air!!!

Even though her eyes don't show it, Dublin LOVES her prunes...

...and lately she loves watching other kids...here she is with one of her friends!

Swingin'

The weather was beautiful this weekend, so we went to the park. Dublin got a chance to try out the swings---She seemed to love being outside and feeling the air rush past her. There are some videos under the "Eighth Month Candids" photos.

What is 58% of a Year??

Dublin is!!! She turned 7 months old on Friday..... Unfortunately both Mama AND Daddy had a stomach bug, so it was not a joyous occasion for all that day. Even though the household is not completely back to 100%, we wanted to share Dublin's 58%-of-a-year self with you all. Dublin helped out by learning to hold her bottle. In fact, searching for independence is the name of the game this past month.
